Places with real winter always do well in the winter olympics.

Imagine that.

Of course it helps if you are totally dominant in one sport, like the Dutch are in speed skating.

Sounds like heavy doses of personal responsibility and inculcated personal motivation were applied.

It is nice that the USA got our first ice dancing gold ever. Funny that the Gold and Silver teams both practice together in Detroit of all places.

I still can’t believe that American athletes blamed their loss on their uniforms. Unbelievable.

The real medal count should be based on where athletes actually live and train.

By that count, the US wins hands down.

Meh, who cares........it’s Champions League time.

Bayern shouldn’t have too much trouble against Arsenal, you would think.

Not to mention liberal doses of governmental support....which pretty much all other govermnents (EXCEPT the US) supply to their athletes. The US athletes have to get sponsorships and raise their own money to train & travel. Oops...better not say anything else before some ding-dong in DC gets ideas.

Its pretty convoluted these days. Both Canadian and American ice dancing teams practiced and trained together in Detroit under a Russian trainer/coach.

We do have real winter here. We have some very big mountain ranges with a lot of skiing. So we are winning big-time in Alpine skiing and freestyle of various kinds. Our kids love the bumps and the air.

I think the judges are passing the USA by because of all that gayness obama sent over.

"Pain is weakness leaving your body."

Some pains are Ma Nature telling you it's time to stop for a while.
