It would be a pact with the devil. My uncle’s print shop joined the union to get city contracts. He had go go before a union disciplinary board because, when an employee screwed up a job and was reprimanded, he told my uncle, “If you can do it better, then you do it.” My uncle did it, and was in trouble because management was not allowed to operate their own presses.
