Oregon is just about to do this in the new legislative year. They tried it last session less than a year ago and got shot down. It is my state senator, who heads the judicial committee where it begins. D's hold the majority unlike last year.
It will be a very hard decision if it passes, to register. I am a law abiding citizen, active member of our small community, I pay taxes, I serve on community and county boards are they really going to arrest me for not registering?

...they really going to arrest me for not registering? Yes. Yes they will. Unless you decide that that is where your line in the sand has been drawn. Even a casual read of history should teach you where this eventually goes. And that there is only one way to stop it.

I live in NY, and I have many modern sporting rifles...I have no intention of registering them, nor will I dispose of my large cap mags pursuant to the unSafe Act.
