A revealing reminder of the provincial, bubbled leftists that run our media can be found in an NBC News piece profiling Olympic gold medal skier David Wise. NBC informs us in its headline that what led Wise to Olympic gold was his "alternative lifestyle."
NBC was apparently surprised to learn that, at 23-years-old, Wise is already a husband and father.
At such a young age, Wise has the lifestyle of an adult. He wears a Baby Bjorn baby carrier around the house. He also attends church regularly and says he could see himself becoming a pastor a little later down the road....

To be fair, among athletes in most winter sports, David Wise is very abnormal. It is often said that all the money, international fame,prestige and being able to get into all the most out of control late night parties and orgies, during and after the Olympics, is one of the primary motivations for Olympians and often even the most important motivation. For a guy like David Wise, the spectators might believe he is not right in the head to even want to be an Olympian if he’s not gonna take full advantage of all of that.
Our children are growing up on Bizarro World.
I think I’d rather spend the day with Islamic Rage Boy or Looter Guy than Pajama Boy.
I think in the Olympics, guys like David Wise were always as abnormal as Boy George and Richard Simmon’s mutant offspring would be in rural Texas.
Looter guy seems the most fun for a party.
Spending a day with pajama boy would likely turn me into islamic rage boy. If ever released decades later into the new USSA, I would then become looter guy.
I’ve seen interviews with “Islamic Rage Boy” and he’s just a very religious lower working-class man who wants his section of his country to be more autonomous.

Daughter, married, two sons, homeowner and off to a very good start as a Realtor.
Son, single (so far. He’s not popped the question, yet), gainfully employed (ZERO Student Loans) Mechanical Engineer (got 8% raise today!).
We raised our children to be responsible, hard working and independent, God fearing, productive members of society.
Oh, it seems that the only people that they associate with were raised the same way.
Amongst their fiends and associates, School Teacher(s), Sales Reps, Nurses, Police Officers, Small Business Owners, Engineers, and Patriots.
There is hope for our future. I would never look to NBC to validate that, though.
