NORFOLK, VA. Drugs were in the room where two former Navy SEALs were found dead aboard the Maersk Alabama, a ship that was the focus of a 2009 hijacking dramatized in the movie "Captain Phillips," a company spokesman said Thursday.
Police from the African island nation of Seychelles have given no cause of death for Mark Daniel Kennedy, 43, and Jeffrey Keith Reynolds, 44. The Americans were security contractors who were found dead Tuesday in a cabin on the ship while berthed in Port Victoria in the Indian Ocean.
"We are saddened by the tragedy and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased men," Maersk Line Ltd. spokesman Kevin Speers said in a statement.
Speers said the Seychelles police report includes observations about the presence of drugs and paraphernalia in the room where the two men were found dead, although the type of drug is unknown.

From the I've read about Seychelles it is a bizarre little colonial dictatorship; the kind of place James Bond would be looking for a villain. Smallest country in Africa, all islands, no natives, white ruled but majority black, had a US base decades ago.
A great place for diplomatic hijinx.
Setup? Someone sending a message?
Message being, drugs kill. No one is immune, not even the US Military elite. There is an awful lot of bad heroin out there right now, killing scores of people. It doesn’t say that’s what drug was there, but it is what I suspect.
I don’t believe in conspiracies much (more so since Obama, though) but so many deaths of former SEALs is curious.
Before this diktator, any seal died, we never knew about it; there was a reason for that...strength is a deterrent. Ukraine gone? Yep, due to limp wristed 0bummer.
Druks and seals? BS; planted. You’ll hear more seal elimination going forward. 1.5+Billion bull3ts are for a reason...and when no force can stop him...
There is a US UAV base there for counter-piracy ISR ops.
Yeah, I forgot about that. I shouldn't have since I posted several articles about US drone bases in Africa. Thanks for the reminder.
As soon as I heard this news, on Fox, this morning, my tin foil hat went into overdrive.
Seems like a lot of seals are dying in the past few years. This is surprising to me since they are trained to be practically invincible. It leads one to believe that maybe these deaths are not ‘normal’ or that there is something going on to make these deaths happen. These men would be natural leaders in the event of a revolution..
