Ya. Seems to be the same old story of declining civilizations. People forget what is important is not what free stuff and false promises but integrity.
I don’t blame the politicians. The problem is with us, the voter. The voter sets the standards and expectations that the politicians must follow.
It’s both. Leadership is certainly important and expected. We are not all cut out to be politicians and lawmakers, so we hire those who are and we expect them to follow the law.
But the culture is certainly to blame.
