The campaign for Dwayne Stovall, Texas candidate for U.S. Senate, brings attention to the voting record of Sen. John Cornyn. Sen. Cornyn votes for unconstitutional legislation and then attempts to mislead Texans about his votes. This is part of an ongoing series of press releases exposing the Congressional Record of Senator Cornyn.
Stovall said in a statement, Senator Cornyn betrays the trust of Texans who sent him to Washington. He voted YEA on the FY 2013 FUNDING BILL (March 23, 2013) that gave the Obama Administration the money needed to implement Obamacare. Subsequently, he also voted YEA on CLOTURE (September 24, 2013), which defeated the efforts of Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) to defund it.
Senator Cornyn pays lip service to conservative principles, while his actions speak a clear lack of conviction to those same principles. As Texans, we must resolve to put the interests of Texans ahead back-room political deal-making.
The Republican establishments surrender to Harry Reids Democrats and their agenda, led by Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn, was well recognized as a betrayal to the Republican base and continues to gather attention to itself. Current and future generations of Texans will now be forced to pay heavily for this socialized, job-killing legislation.
In September, Breitbart News reported that Senator John Cornyn used his leadership position to pressure other Republicans to oppose Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT) in their efforts to defund. According to a senior staffer quoted in the news report, Nobody is fighting harder to make sure Obamacare is funded than Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn.
Under pressure from the base, Senator Cornyn eventually said he supported the effort to defund.
Stovall noted, During this primary cycle, Sen. Cornyns political ads have asserted that he is conservative, a claim that shouldnt require endless ad time.

Stovall’s got my vote - on Election Day when paper ballots can be had in Kaufman County...
We all know that the idiot, Steve Stockman, is an absentee candidate. He just took the campaign donations he got fort this race to pay off his debts from his last Congressional Race. And, I know that Dwayne Stovall is actively out “on the stump” campaigning, but has anyone seen any signs or billboards or TV Ads? Just curious. I’ve seen none of the above. GO STOVALL!!!
