There is a 97.353% probability that you are correct.

It used to be in Oxford but whatever that is located in Oxford is no longer Ole Miss. Ole Miss died.

It’s pretty bad when your very first chapter gets the charter pulled.

It’s pretty bad when your very first chapter gets the charter pulled.

Sigma Phi Epsilon's first chapter was at the University of Richmond. The first chapter in each state is designated as that state's Alpha.

Recent history appears to teach us that most of the incidents of racist graffiti written, painted, or carved into cars, civil rights headquarters, and alleged civil rights victims are actually the actions of those crying 'foul.'

In this case, however, my money is on the three freshman SigEps as the perpetrators. Ole Miss fraternities have a reputation as being less racially tolerant than the student body at large. In 2012 the student body at Ole Miss, a campus noted for having some of the most beautiful coeds of any campus, selected an obese black girl, Courtney Pearson, as Homecoming Queen as a joke.

The prank was probably pulled by a leftist, most likely a black one, who considers Meredith an Uncle Tom and a race traitor for having served on the staff of Senator Jesse Helms (R-NC)

Stupid people say stupid things.

Someone said people are not being arrested for the knockout game. I pointed out that that was entirely factually inaccurate.

I believe in conservative government and policies. Some people here confuse conservative values with being racist. A racist or ignorant conservative is no different than a similar thinking liberal.

There are holes all over the political spectrum. You appear to be a prime example.

I want small govt, fiscal responsibility and I am anti-abortion. That is my view of being a conservative. Perhaps you believe racism is a conservative value.

While the media goes on full alert because a noose, 4 blacks murdered 3 whites in Detroit. They stabbed them, and then set the house the whites were in on fire to cover it up. At least one of the whites lived through the stabbing, and fire, only to die later.

You’ll never hear about this in the national media, they are too busy hyperventilating about a noose on a statue in Mississippi.

Can anyone guess what the media coverage would be if 4 whites did this to 3 blacks?

Three more white lives go down the memory hole.

Funny. You call me an Internet troll and then display the prime example of being one by acting like a tough guy anonymously.

Someone brought up the knockout game, a clear reference to blacks attacking whites, in a thread where it was irrelevant. But you don’t get it. Not a big surprise considering your other pearls of wisdom.

You are a liberal’s caricature of a conservative.

Unless, the three freshmen boys were somehow conspiring with the radical black students, I do not see how the Sigma Phi Epsilon’ boys would have any other motivation for putting a noose on a statue.

We have a different understanding about fraternity boys and the past and current history of Ole Miss.

Ole Miss has a racist history, beyond that of the University of Alabama.

Ole Miss has also been the target of The Usual Suspects, its alumni and students constantly reminded of its past and present. The administration changed the university mascot, tried to ban the small Confederate flags at football games (the wooden sticks from which the flags were flown were "dangerous"), and prohibited the band from playing To Dixie With Love at games or at The Grove.

It's no secret that Ole Miss alumni and students play a game of push-back against the administration and The Usual Suspects.

Placing a Confederate flag and a noose at the statue of James Meredith (a statue that Meredith is trying to get removed) would be emblematic of that push-back.

That said, the last time I remember nooses being a part of an Ole Miss kerfuffle, it involved images of nooses posted in Kincannon Residence Hall, in the elevators and on the doors of two students. Three black students confessed to posting the images and writing racial slurs.

The three students that confessed have yet to be charged because the DA cannot find any law that they broke as of yet. They didn’t deface the statue as no damage was done.

To someone like you I am a liberal because I hate racism.

You embrace racism and believe that makes you a good conservative.

I am against conservatives that hurt the cause by being idiots.

Reecently reported similar events have proven to be self inflicted. Betting FBI may find same in this case.

You did not say something racist in this thread. What you did do was personally attacking me for my comments about racism in this thread.

You clearly are more offended by my posting than racist posts here. So let’s get specific. Did you see anything racist in this thread? If so, why no problem with it?

If not, you are either blind to it or choose to ignore it for whatever personal reasons. Either case, to me is condoning racism.

There are some racists at FR. Clearly they are a small minority, but they exist. It bothers me and hurts the conservative cause. I guess it does not bother you.
