More like stealing his horse. For years they knew what to do with a horse thief. You take a persons mobility you take away all his freedoms. I wouldn’t even call it a “pretend” republic any longer, it seems that most of the citizens, including a lot of Freepers, don’t even know it is SUPPOSED to be a republic. I even took an online history and civics multiple choice test that asked what form of government the constitution gave us and the correct answer of constitutional republic was not even listed. The listed answer which was CALLED the correct one was “representative democracy”. The “experts” who wrote the danged test didn’t even know the correct answer. Of course there are plenty who think they know that a republic and a democracy are the same thing but they are the same ones who remember the impeachment of Richard Nixon even though it never happened because Nixon left office, and think Bill Clinton was NOT impeached because he served out his term. Their numbers are growing daily AND THEY VOTE. IDIOCRACY is a documentary of current conditions in at least half of America and some of the dumbest of the dumb are holders of advanced degrees.
