The security firm they worked for, Trident, according to the article said “The company said it would implement a random drug testing programme.”
So they didn’t have a drug testing program. They may have had a pre hire test but that’s it.
Who do you believe would come to work for a security company without a random drug test?

“Founded by U.S. Navy Special Operations Personnel (SEALs) and Senior U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Officers, The Trident Group was established in April 2000 to fill an observed gap in security consulting, training, technology development and implementation of manpower to the global maritime community.”
I don't know how long they were with this group, but they were only aboard the ship about three weeks before their deaths. If they were new employees they would have passed their pre-hire drug test recently.

‘According to Kevin Speers of Maersk, both Reynolds and Kennedy came onboard the ship on January 29. Their deaths were, according to Speers, “not related to vessel operations or their duties as security personnel.”’
I'm suspicious. Someone may be targeting SEALS.
This is not security for an office building. This is security sent all over the world — case in point security on the Maersk Alabama. Where would they do this random drug testing?
This company was founded by ex-Navy SEALS. I imagine there is a lot of info on other Navy SEALS that they can get through the SEALS community.
