How about proposing a permanent moratorium?
To: HiTech RedNeck
To moratorium the known trouble spots would be good, until we can figure out how to back the monster out in an orderly manner. Knee jerks are not helpful here. There is no clean way to kill this abomination. There will be ugly unintended consequences with either a moratorium or a repeal. Get rid of Obamacare now and it is not likely to return. Keep it on life-support with a three-year moratorium and a Democrat President in 2016 resurrects the whole thing and probably makes it worst. Don't presume on the future - if we can kill it now, kill it.
Isn't a moratorium exactly what the Democrats want? They don't want this albatross around their necks in the 2014 mid-term elections or 2016 Presidential election. They keep their prize bill on life-support to be resurrected when the political coasts are clear. They might put up token opposition to the moratorium idea but ultimately they will "reluctantly" come along.
Push for repeal on all fronts and only fall back to a moratorium position if necessary after all attempts at repeal fail. You should never lead with your compromise position.

The elite GOP would love to run on a 3-yr moratorium. Keeps them straddling between in$urance companie$, LIV’s, and the “change-the-tone” idiots.
Politically and economically, this is the dumbest idea since the Stimulus and Obamacare itself.

No, they do not want anything based in law.
They want stuff based in thin air.

Its not that the establishment republicans don't get that the people want obomacare dead and gone, clearly by offering only to postpone it these establishment republicans whores are trying to appease their masters. Their own corruption is being used against them and the establishment republicans are doing all they can (lying) to regain some wiggle room. I would bet they are all watching closely what political corruption has caused in the Ukraine and hoping it won't come to America while they are still slurping slop from the public trough. Sadly, Karma happens!

A one line repeal is going to precipitate chaos. A careful deconstruction will be required. We saw the chaos induced by the thoughtless introduction of Obamacare. We don't want to replicate that.
Understand, as well, that many of the features of Obamacare are buried in other, unrelated laws. The "death panels", for example, are in another bill (name escapes). This was done intentionally, simply in order to make Obamacare exceedingly difficult to deconstruct legislatively.
If we are to pull-up Obamacare, root and branch, we must understand a.) that it has many branches and b.) its roots are as tentacles, gripping various segments of society.

So how about this simple 2014 campaign idea: The Republicans, as a party, tell the voters that if they keep the House and recapture the Senate, they will immediately push for a three-year moratorium on Obamacare...how about this simple idea - Republicans in the House tried this last fall, by sending bills to the Senate which would have kept the government operating in return for delaying the individual and business mandates for a set time - Reid and Obama killed them by inaction, and the people blamed the GOP for "shutting down the government" - the American public is too ill-informed, intellectually lazy, and just plain stupid to understand such a plan as Larry proposes
