Egypt's interim Prime Minister Hazem Beblawi has unexpectedly announced the resignation of his government.

He gave no reason in his televised address, but it comes amid a series of strikes, including one by public sector workers and rubbish collectors.

The state-run newspaper al-Ahram said he had been asked to stay on as prime minister until a successor was named.

He was appointed in July after the military overthrew President Mohammed Morsi following opposition protests.

I suspect the problems are overwhelming, and he didn’t want his fingerprints on the incredibly difficult decisions that will need to be made.

Just a thought here, but ...

It seems there is a lot of unrest in the world and it's apparently people rebelling against dictatorial-type governmentation

If the whole world continues this trend, Satan surely can't just sit back and allow this loss ... he HAS to retaliate.

WW3 on the horizon.

Whoever becomes Egypt’s new strongman or Mubarak II, will find that Egypt like most Islamic countries is not governable. Islamic countries, that lack immense resources, are failed political entities in the 21st century.

So far, nothing seems to be on the horizon in the US, but Obama keeps legislating by regulation and the GOP seems incapable of standing up to him, so in three years, where might the US go, I wonder.

...armed forces chief and Defence Minister, Field Marshal Abdul Fattah al-Sisi...will step down from both posts and run for president....would be likely to win.

I believe the "whoever" question has been answered.

Color me surprised...not.

...armed forces chief and Defence Minister, Field Marshal Abdul Fattah al-Sisi...will step down from both posts and run for president....would be likely to win.

Gen al Sisi is revered by workaday Egyptians who consider the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorst organization (as Americans do). Gen Al-Sisi drove blood-thirsty Muslims out of Egyptian politics and has vowed to rebuild the 63 Christian churches torched by the Muslim Brotherhood during the post-Morsi uprising.

Gen al Sisi, 58, received a masters degree from the U.S. War College in Carlisle, Pa, in 2006.

=====================================================

BTW, Gen al-Sisi also holds the key to the murders in Benghazi........the Benghazi secrets Obama and Hillary will not divulge. B/c right now, sitting in an Egyptian jail is a man al-Sisi arrested for inciting terrorism. That man is Gehad al Hadad....once employed by the tax-exempt Clinton Foundation.

THE CLINTONS IN-HOUSE MUSLIM TERRORIST

The Clintons tax-exempt foundation employed this guy--- Muslim Brotherhood activist Gehad al Haddad who was a Clinton employee AND M/B activits simultaneously. The stupid Clintons "knew nothing"----and did not even know "Gehad" is Farsi for "jihad."

Gehad also knows how the Muslim Brotherhood launders money to finance terrorism, using "tax-exempt foundations."

As far as I know, Egypt does not have any limitations on obtaining information from terrorists---like prohibiting waterboarding, etc.

Rest assured---we will know everything---all in good time.

Jerusalem Post reports: Egyptian government resigns, paving way for military chief Sisi to run for president

Prime minister Beblawi announces military-backed government stepping down; "This was done as a step that was needed ahead of Sisi's announcement that he will run for president," Egyptian official says.

During the post-Morsi uprising, Egyptian Gen al-Sisi did not accept Obama’s phone call......signaling that the military leader was determined to keep the Obama admin from interfering in al Sisi's plans to drive the pro-Morsi Muslim Brotherhood out of Egyptian politics.

===============================================

LET'S STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE In 2009, Obama made a "Smart Power" suck-up speech in Cairo----"apologizing" for America's historical role in the Middle East. By snubbing Mubarak, Obama set the stage for the Egyptian president's overthrow by the Islamic mob and the installation of Muslin Brother Morsi.

When the worst-case scenario happened, when Obama's personal choice---Islamist Muslim Brotherhood, Mohamed Morsi, was elected president----Obama sap-happily sent his secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, to Cairo to personally kiss-up to Morsi....perhaps at that time hatching their plans to destroy Westen civiliation in compliance w/ Muslim dictates.

Obama's treacherous ill-advised component of US foreign policy----sucking up to the very people who want to kill us and destroy our churches. He portrayed teeming Muslim majorities there as "victims of Western colonialism and Cold War policies," stupidly promoting American-style democracy for these conflicting cultures w/ thousands of years of religious and territorial factionalism.

OBAMA'S SUCKUP SPEECH "The relationship between Islam and the West includes centuries of coexistence and cooperation, but also conflict and religious wars," Obama said in the June 2009 speech in Cairo. "More recently, tension has been fed by colonialism that denied rights and opportunities to many Muslims, and a Cold War in which Muslim-majority countries were too often treated as proxies, without regard to their own aspirations."

Fast forward to 2013: the savage Muslim Brotherhood torched some 63 Egyptian churches and many Christian businesses. Obama ignored the bloodbath and spent the crisis dining out, golfing, power-partying, and vacationing in exclusive Martha’s Vineyard on the taxpayers' dime.

================================================

At the Hay Literary festival in Wales, author and PBS historian, Niall Ferguson, spent much of his time dissing Obama's "smart power" speech delivered in Cairo in 2009......describing it as "touchy feely nonsense"...

Ferguson has sent out warnings about Obama's failure to come to terms with what Ferguson sees as the potential rise of the Muslim brotherhood in Egypt and the possible "restoration of the caliphate and the strict application of Sharia"........themes at the heart of this new book "Civilization: The West and the Rest"...............

Ferguson's standpoint is that Western dominance has been a progressive civilizing force.....his new book reinforces these arguments postulating that there were six killer "apps" which propelled the West to a position of predominance.

These were competition, science, property, modern science, consumption and work ethic, each with a dedicated chapter in the book.

Ferguson contrasts how China was the world's most advanced civilization in the 15th century but stagnated and was overtaken by Dutch mercantilism and the rise of capitalism employing the six "skills".

In his books, and on his compelling PBS series "Civilization," Ferguson lists "morality" as a strategic strength of Western Civilization. He points out the successful Chinese business city Wenzou also has 1,400 churches.

Well, I would call it a counter-coup. Something we may possibly experience in Ukraine as well before everything is over.

Ukraine is a mess. One damn group still thinks Stalin is running things. Their coup is self defeating.

But don't worry...Kerry said something about "a big carrot".

And suddenly the EU (or its member countries) has found lots of money and is promising it all to Ukraine.

Who do they think they’ll fool? The EU has not been able to fix Greece despite billions of euros in “aid packages”/loans. And now they want to take on another, even worse, economic wreck.

Meanwhile Gazprom is sitting on the valve to Ukraine’s economic survival... How have we all been able to select the least intelligent politicians since WWI?
