Rick Santelli: Tea Party Are Those Who 'Carry the Water'
Breitbart's Big Journalism ^ | February 23, 2014 | Tony Lee

Posted on 02/24/2014 6:33:58 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Five years after his "rant heard around the world" spawned what is now known as the Tea Party movement, CNBC's Rick Santelli appeared on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125 and said the energy from 2009 has created a powerful political movement that has already achieved many tangible results while changing the political landscape.

Speaking to host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon, Santelli said the Tea Party movement is a big-tent movement that attracts Americans from all walks of life. He said what is appealing about the movement to him is its emphasis on fiscal responsibility. The size, scope, and reach of government is becoming a bigger political issue and platform, and that, he said, is where the Tea Party will have its most lasting impact.

Unlike the Occupy Movement that fizzled, Santelli argued that the Tea Party has "morphed." Even though the movement does not have a convention to elect an official leader or spokesperson, the "energy from '09 has been put to work in a way that has been tangible."

Calling his impassioned rant the "neatest five minutes" of his career, Santelli said the speech's legacy was "a bit surprising to me." He said the country was going through many massive "emotional upheavals" at the time, starting with the financial crisis that he believes started when the government tried to interject itself into the housing market.

He said he was merely venting about issues "that were burning through the country." He was surprised that the Tea Party movement, composed of those who had been especially frustrated with George W. Bush's big-government programs and inspired by Sarah Palin in 2008, formed at the grassroots level and then exploded....

Remember the GOP is NOT entitled to your vote.

Make them work for it.

A loooooong time ago...carpetbaggers destroyed it. Most people have come to realize that this state is no longer the conservative bastion it once was. The libertarians are around (they are still kicking that nutty Free State Project around), but their big thing is weed and Ron Paul.

For Old Times Sake:

RON PAUL SUPPORTER PRIMER: (credit goes to RaceBannon)

#1. Be Arrogant
#2. Be Condescending
#3. Be self-important
#4. Be self-righteous
#5. Tout your superior intellect to help overcome your lack of self-confidence (see numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 then go straight to #15).
#6. Give slippery rhetorical answers to straight questions
#7. Hide/Ignore or spin Ron Paul’s congressional record of 23 Years in Congress, creating 620 bills of which 4 made it to the floor and only one became law.
#8. When cornered and have no truthful or direct response, spout angry, non-topic rhetoric as an answer, then see #19.
#9. Hide your Democrat voting status from the public & pretend you’re a Republican.
#10. Blame everyone else, never take credit for problems like Barrack Obama because we are closet Ultra-Liberals
#11. Berate and/or belittle your opponent whenever losing an argument, then see #19
#12. Blame America for the world hating the US and act like an Arab Psychiatrist/Pathologist when promoting the 9/11 Jihad conspiracy.
#13. Be courteous and direct others to their local cable or satellite channel that carries reruns of Conspiracy theory with Jesse “You deserve to lose a few” Ventura.
#14. Copy and paste data from whatever unreliable source you can find to try and validate your argument.
#15. Avoid/ignore any or all valid retort or facts that invalidate your agenda at all costs or whenever possible. (Go back to #6)
#16. Create a fictitious Facebook persona to hide your true identity like our Anarchist/OWS cousins.
#17. Make cowardly drive-by hit and run comment and/or “like” a fellow Paulbot’s hit and run comment.
#18. Bait adversaries by commenting/posting irrelevant points and/or points you were making during your last debate with someone totally different on another topic all together without looking like you are arguing with yourself. Try to avoid looking foolish at all costs.
#19. Scurry over to your nearest Ron Paul thread and alert other bots to join you and that you require assistance because you’re losing your delusional Liberal arguments. Then medicate, repeat, put on your drool bib and go back to marching in the paper slipper brigade.
#20. Follow #18 and 19 to the letter, then surround your opponent and take cheap pot-shots from your behind your fictitious Facebook persona (See #9 and #16).
#21. Before debating, avoid getting fecal matter in or behind your ears when removing your head from your rectum. This will be particularly useful when listening to CD’s of “Dr” Paul in your Toyota Prius.
#22. When casting your ballot for “Dr” Paul during online polls, remember to clear your cookies then repeat. Do this as many times as your fingers will allow or until the next episode of Colbert Reports, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, or your Mother calls down to the basement stairs to tell you that “dinner is ready”.

Yes, that is a good strategy. New York State’s Conservative Party has used that successfully. They hold their convention before the Republican state convention. Then the GOP has a choice: pick the Conservative candidate or have a split Republican vote and lose.

Of course New York has that system where someone can run on two different lines simultaneously, so it is a different logic that applies. Nationally, GOP couldn’t run same candidate as Tea Party. It’s a much bigger risk for Tea Party to pick a candidate. They could cause the best person to lose by doing that.

I don’t think the Tea Party has enough time to form a party that will be on the ballot in enough states to make a difference. So it would just be like a contest, not a real party selection. Then it could work like NY State: Pick our choice or be divided.

If the TEAparty tries to do anything aside from taking back the GOP, they will have screwed up.

I didn’t say anything about forming a party, I meant to get behind a single candidate before the primaries start.

The Rick Santelli rant of 5 years ago is getting a lot of play, and it had a big part. A book called Boiling Mad goes into the roots. A reviewer has this to say:

Zernike introduces us to the first Tea Partier, a nose-pierced young teacher who lives in Seattle with her fiancé, an Obama supporter.

But as with all successes, there are many fathers.

I remember that as good read, very informative too. Haven't gotten around to reading Jenny Beth Martin's book yet.

Right. I thought I would comment on both possibilities. You are correct: there is no time to form a party, and it is almost definitely not the right time to try.

But another party could pick up the Tea Party favorite if and when the GOP says they don’t want him. I think the Libertarian Party is on the ballot in a lot more states than it used to be. I remember when it was just Alaska.

He was also probably aware that his statements about Cruz would get a lot of attention, and then people would also be reading his comments about Nazi Germany.

I don’t think of him as being that devious, but that’s kind of what happened. All the attention went to the Cruz remarks but deep in the convoluted human brains of those who read his column is the rest of the stuff.

I guess I am thinking ahead. Also thinking in terms of conventions because we have an important governors’ race this year. It’s possible our candidate will get bucks from all over the country because of the SAFE Act, gun control by the guy living in the governors’ mansion with his girlfriend.

Gun Issues The Elephant In The Room For Gov Christie’s National Aspirations

Published on Monday, February 24, 2014

By Dan Roberts

Manasquan, NJ —(Ammoland.com)- The question over more restrictive gun control laws such as a the renewal or expansion of the ineffective “Assault Weapons Ban”, Magazine Capacity Restrictions and Concealed Carry for Self Defense is the massive Elephant in the room for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his pursuit of the Republican Nomination for the 2016 Presidential Election.

Both Christie and the National GOP ignore supporting gun owner rights at their tremendous peril.

While “Bridgegate” and questions over the dispersal of Super Storm Sandy Relief Funds have fueled the intense spotlight cast on Christie as of late, absent some sort of “bombshell” revelation pertaining to either it is highly probable that he will weather the storm from those two issues relatively intact.

When it comes to the question of Gun Control however, its an issue that is simply not going to go away as easily.

The more I hear and read about the imminent demise of the Tea Party movement the more I am sure that it is alive, well and growing.

The peak Taxpayer “Rage Day” is April 15, Every Year.

For the 53 % who still pay personal Federal Income taxes, I say “Put y’alls Tax Rage to work and get rid of Obama’s TROJAN HORSE John “Doormat” Boehner” on Imperial Democrat Tax Day, April 15, 2014.

As for timing, the new fire-in-the-belly, Speaker of the House can then, with great and detailed TV Fanfare, draw up the necessary Articles of Impeachment on Soetoro-Obama to be officially filed on the Grandest of all Patriotic Days, July 4, 2014.

Then the 2014 Campaign will be going on along with the following:
* Obama’s Impeachment trial,
* Pro-Obama Impeachment street protests;
* Pro Military street protests;
* Pro Privatization of “Entitlements” street protests;
* Anti-Coverup of Benghazi Murders street protests,
* Anti-Coverup of Fast and Furious murder street protests;
* Anti-IRS street protests, Anti-NSA street protests,
* Anti-DOJ street protests;
* Anti-Bypass Congress street protests;
* Anti-Judge Robert’s street protests;
* Anti-Obamacare street protests;
* Anti-Trojan Horse RINOs street protests;
* Anti-Democrat Party street protests.

The strategy is simple:
1.) CREATE AS MANY POINTS OF ATTACK AS POSSIBLE AND
2.) ATTACK WITH NO HESITATION WHENEVER ONE OR MORE POINTS OF ATTACK FIND A WEAKNESS.

Warning: Success is guaranteed BECAUSE this strategy will be strongly opposed by RINO Rove, RINO Peter King of NY, RINO “Romneycare” Romney, and of course, Loser Emeritus John “Wacko Birds” McCain.

LET THE AMERICAN STREET SUMMER OF DISCONTENT BEGIN !
