I suspect the new Dim Mayor of Seattle and the Dem WA Gov, Jay Inslee (former Dem congresscritter) will welcome them with open arms (ugh!).

There are lots of heavily-Democratic cities that would make good host sites: East St. Louis, Detroit, Memphis....

Who would think it? But, for some reason I thought the parties usually tried to land their national conventions in swing districts, and Portland is definitely not that.
