The Democrats Are Apparently Terrified of Scott Walker
Pajamas Media ^ | 02/26/2014 | Stephen Kruiser

Good to know.

Last week, over 27,000 pages of private e-mails from one of Wisconsin governor Scott Walker’s convicted ex-staffers were released. As soon as the document dump hit the Web, Democrats began climbing over themselves to prove that the e-mails showed that during his time as Milwaukee county executive in 2010, Walker was part of a grand criminal conspiracy — despite the fact that prosecutors had the e-mails for nearly three years and found Walker had engaged in no criminal wrongdoing.

This is a lot like what happened with Sarah Palin a while back. Democrats think that a large number of emails are bound to reveal some criminal activity. Once they have access, they begin frothing and assuming they will unearth something criminal. This is probably because the same would be true if you were perusing thousands of the average Democrat’s emails.

What have they dug up on the good governor so far? Here’s one GAME CHANGER:

Perhaps the crown jewel of Walker attacks occurred on Monday, when Amanda Terkel at the Huffington Post tried to argue that Walker has a history of breaking campaign rules because he — wait for it — violated a rule while running for Marquette University student body president in 1988, when he was 20 years old.

Walker probably causes more sweating among Democrat elites as far as 2016 is concerned than any other potential candidate among the popular GOP governors (I have a separate theory about Christie that I won’t go into here). All Walker does is make Democrats look bad. And beat their organized muscle, Big Labor. He is one of those politicians who accomplishes being remarkable by being unremarkable, which is odd in the hyper-media era. He just shows up at work and gets results for all of the people he governs, not only the ones who voted for him.

Who ever heard of such craziness?

Scott Walker doesn’t like the idea of primary challenges to RINO’s

The one thing I found the most fascinating about Walker was how he handled the idiots hanging out at the Capitol, in essence, allowing people to see the filth that union thugs endorse.

His handling of that situation swayed many people I know who previously had no understanding of the marriage of unions and local government. After that episode, the light went off and they began to clearly understand what conservatives fight for and stand against.

Accept the fact and it is a fact the Democrats will always lie by hook or crook. That’s what they do.

If you add "if the challenger has no chance of beating the Dem opponent" I would go along with your statement. At least, that is what I discerned from reading the links. But even if he doesn't like RINO's being challenged, it has nothing to do with his governing philosophy.

Let me ask you, who do you think meets your criteria and could actually win a general election?

I don’t care. I want to do the right thing, even when it is unpopular. They are called principles, you can Google that.

I don’t think so. Hasn’t he already told the TEA Party to sit down and shut up and stop bashing RINO’s?

Can you provide a link to your conclusion or did you just pull an obama and make it up as you began typing?

Yes, I already did in another thread with the exact same title.

Walker kicked the socialists square in the nuts. They have no recourse as Wisconsin is doing well and looking to help citizens with tax cuts.

No need to be condescending, I know what principles are. It is just that the links you posted do not convince me that there is anything wrong with Walker, much less that he doesn't like the TEA Party. I have yet to see anything to disprove Walker's conservative credentials.

Again, I ask, who do you think has these creds and the ability to win a general election?

Again, I don’t care if my principles win an election. They will still be my principles and I will adhere to them and vote for those who share them, whether they “can win” or not.

I really do not give a fig if the Republican Party vanishes into thin air tonight, doesn’t seem like that would make a big difference in anything.

Any good book on the making of the Constitution will show that difficult compromises were made by great, principled men who knew when to stand strong and when to give a little to get a lot.

Reagan himself compromised. To get the funding he wanted he had to let the Dems expand spending (and they promptly turned on him and accused him of expanding government).

My only concern for the Repub Party is that they already have the state-to-state infrastructure in place and it would be easier to utilize that than to build a new party from the ground up (and to not have a so-called conservative party to compete with and the Dems to exploit).

Tell me where the Democrats are compromising?

Tell me what concession the GOP got on the last debt ceiling increase?

Walker’s amnesty position is worrisome and I’d like to see him mature in that regard, but he would be an okay consolation prize if Cruz doesn’t run.

That's just it! Dems don't have to compromise because they know the Repub leadership will cave instead of holding fast for a compromise. It's the RINO's in leadership positions that are the problem.

Get real conservative's into the leadership roles and a few small-fish RINO's won't matter (they'll eventually be replaced by real conservatives or show their true colors and switch parties).
