Rand Paul Is the GOP's Early Presidential Front-Runner
National Journal ^ | February 25, 2014 | Josh Kraushaar

While the establishment hopes for a governor to emerge, he is quietly putting together a formidable operation.
Republican strategists like to say the party's next nominee needs to hail from the GOP's gubernatorial ranks. It's a response to how unpopular Washington is—particularly the party's congressional wing—and a reflection of the party's strength in holding a majority of governorships. But another reason for the gubernatorial focus is to sidestep the one formidable candidate that gives the establishment heartburn: Sen. Rand Paul.

Youngins like Ron Paul, so I am guessing they will support Rand Paul.

I think my 19 year old son is fairly typical of the young ones these days. He doesn’t really care about the social issues (as it relates to politics), but he can’t stand the government taking his money out of his paycheck.

One of my 17 year old twins is more concerned about social issues. I think she may be more conservative than me. Certainly, more than I was at her age.

Her twin sister is just clueless. She’ll ask me who she should vote for. I have lots of educating to do with her.

The GOP-e must be terrified. They must stop a Paul or a Cruz, or they might lose the party and then it might stop passively promoting “progressivism”.

Oh yeah. I know it gave the GOP Establishment real heartburn when Runt Paul endorsed Mitch McConnell over a great, young Conservative Matt Bevin. And it must really tear them up that Runt Paul is out there actively campaigning for Mitch. Yeah; right!!!
I loathe "inside-the-beltway" political whores!!! So therefore, I loathe Rand Paul.

“Of course, 2012 had half-a-dozen periodic frontrunners “

There was only one front runner in 2012, and it was Romney.

Well of course! He’s the only one speaking out against Hillary, and Bill! Go Rand!

No thanks. How did Reagan’s amnesty for illegal aliens work out for us?

You know what scares me about Rand Paul? The fact that his nutjob father may have some influence over him.
