In post number 6 you said this:

The nation as we knew it will not survive Obama. I highly recommend a bug-out plan. Seriously.

I can only take it that you were referring to fleeing the country in that post. What good is bugging out to the wild if Obama destroys "the nation as we knew it"?

Are you suggesting we live out the remainder of our lives like hermits?

What I am saying is that there is really nowhere in the world to go, but you can mitigate risk. Thing is, if the nation goes down, the world goes down. And there is still infrastructure in the US that will survive at least for a time.

If we end up in a “road warrior” world, all bets are off, but I doubt it will get that bad. What I actually expect is for the nation to become a very dangerous place around the cities. For me, “bug out” means a place within the US where you do not have to be dependent (or not very dependent) on the infrastructure, and able to take your survival into your own hands (e.g. legal self defense). Cities become very miserable places during depressions and it’s not just about food. It’s about quality of life. If you’ve seen the photos of my place you can see why I would want to live there if the SHTF, or even if it doesn’t.
