Being bullied pissed me off more than it hurt, and the embarassment of crying in front of girls is ... I don’t want to remember.

...Good God, man, you cried in front of girls...?

Suffice it to be true ... bullying is part of growing up

...absolutely it is...in my day, there were dysfunctional greasers who made their bones pushing people around...and this pissed me off no end...but to push back meant never ending retaliation, and my calculated response was to ride it out, and that was right...I was more hurt by my so-called comrades, who could turn on a dime against me, and subject me to torments, but such is the nature of callow youth...

...that cultural engineering is going on by lawgivers to achieve desired social results...well, this has been going on since cavemen decided to pool their efforts in order to distribute the burden of making a living...

Like I said, I wasn't tough, never learned to fight (which also means controlling tears) and ... ya ... it happened.

This is all prepuscent ... it was in the teens and Junior High that I started to 'man up' ... wasn't good at it ... but I DID man up

The rest is as how we all remember ... those that dare to remember.

The bottom line of all remarks to this thread is;

Leave the kids alone.

Protection from gangs and getting shot has nothing to do with bullying ... THOSE're criminal offenses.

I handled failure and defeat and embarassment and all the negatives and learned success and winning and inner/outer strength.

It's the American way to allow defeat and losing ... it's how we win.

It makes us better lovers of our women.
