Representative Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) and Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) are asking President Obama to designate $10 million for "gun violence research."

“After receiving your $10 million dollar research grant, we have studied the matter deeply. We have determined that getting hit by a bullet usually has violent results.

Obama doesn't dole out money, that is up to congress. Currently it is being done through 'continuing resolutions' but should be done through 'budget reconciliation' by the congress. The president can only veto, pocket veto, or approve what congress has written and give executive orders within the executive branch of government.

These Democrats clearly want Obama to be a King and dole out the money by fiat or by unconstitutional executive orders.

I have a CCP and have kept a gun in my truck for years. But it never gets violent.

I have carried guns and been around guns for 40 some years and I have never seen nor heard of a gun becoming violent. I have seen and heard many people become violent. If you are going to waste money at least waste iit with some basis in reality!
