For once, everything McCain said makes perfect sense, including material aid to the Ukrainians to help them hold off the Russians. We have here a second opportunity to bleed the Russians (and repay them for the 100K GI's killed in the Korean and Vietnam Wars), while cementing relations with a future ally that is also the breadbasket of Europe.

Question: What is America's proper role, internationally?

Is is defending our national interests?

Or is it expanding our influence?
