Russian troops moving into military installations, disarming Ukranian Army personnel. Breaking news from war-zone so take with necessary grain of salt.

What war zone? Haven’t heard of any resistance. One good ambush of Soviet trucks would change the whole scenario.

By the way, Putin doesn’t give a flying crap what the West thinks. He controls the natural gas pipelines.

Put Obama, Kerry, Hagel and Rice together and they haven’t got the impact of one of Putin’s Vodka farts.

Meanwhile, Carney the clown is talking about “transparency” on the part of the Russians. Another turd heard from, and completely ignored, as usual.

Calling Bozo the Clown. We have a job opening for you. Pick one - President, Secy of State, Secy of Defense, UN rep, Presidential spokesman, or all of them. You’d do better.

Has Obama have any red lines left if the Russians cross any lines?

Of course all this is grain of salt stuff, but I bet almost none of the later facts will be better than these snippets and rumors.

This new feeling of total American irrelevance, and impotence is disheartening, my impression is that we are mere spectators to these world events now.

Irrelevance, that really stings.

Do you really need to cuss like some 14 year old kid trying to be heard?

Something along the lines of what the did in Georgia. Breakaway states. They leave the other side in power mollifying the west and ‘liberate’ for lack of a better word, the areas they want. Both times will be over the futile objections of the same two leaders, Obama and Merkel.

And all that time we were ‘worried’ about terrorists at the Olympics.

According to Google maps Kirovske is in Eastern Ukraine, not the Crimea.

I don’t see Putin as a real man, I see him as a man of a type, but Reagan was my version of a real man, and I don’t mean their politics and political positions, but the guy things, like quiet masculinity versus shirtless blustering, posturing, etc. I think Reagan of 1985 would devour Putin, as would have many past American presidents.

Unfortunately Obama has almost no good human qualities of any type, masculine or any other, he isn’t totally weak, because he became president of the United States of America, but he is a mixture of indifference to America and the West, and being guided by that sentiment of dislike and a desire to hurt us, as much as the shallow man can feel, which he doesn’t, at much depth.

The world hands him opportunities to hurt us, and he can passively accept them, it is win/win for him, he doesn’t have to work hard, and the left is generally advanced in the big picture.

Well, as opposed to Obama, he is a REAL man, and nobody is going to roll over him. I do, however, see your reluctance to recognize a potential adversary as such. Obama is the greatest disaster for America in modern times. I also agree that Reagan was the greatest president of my lifetime, and I am pushing 70.

There’s two Kirovske’s. Punch in Kirovske, and you’ll see the second one’s Crimean. Airbase is southwest of town, kinda strange... huge runway, almost no buildings.

That is exactly what I hate most about the Obama foreign policy. The utter impotence of the US to assert itself in world affairs.

I know what you meant, and I shouldn’t have used the name “Reagan” because his name is too big to use, what I meant was, something is weird about Putin, he is very much a man, but not a total man, he is missing the full deck.

I think many presidents would have rolled over Putin.

Obama just isn’t a part of any of this, he got elected in 2008 and there isn’t much else to him, with the media behind him he does domestic changes, he doesn’t have any power or juice outside of the US.

Yes, Johnny is also a real man. I have always respected and admired his success.
Keep in mind, I never said that I like Putin. I can only compare him to the limp-wrist fraud that is squatting in our Whitehouse, and the fake Americans that support him.
Can you imagine Putin and Obama shaking hands? Obama would probably come away with a broken hand !
May the pox soon be lifted from America.

If we’re not careful this may imperil our vital interests in Abkhazia.

There is another outcome that could happen here too. Obomba could go all out to show his “strong side”. My thought is based on the coming election. He knows his party is going to get destroyed and what better way to keep them in power then to get engaged in some, in his mind, limited war. Unfortunately, not begin anything more than an average citizen of military strategy and being surrounded by a sea of yes men and women, he may lead us into a real disaster as we don’t have the military “check” for him to write because we don’t have the resources. A confrontation with the Ruskies now given their manpower superiority plus their geographical and logistical edges could easily escalate quickly beyond a local limited engagement IMO. If this were
a chess match, Putin has control of the center of the board and our mental midget has been relegated to defending the margins.
