Race relations have gone to hell in my lifetime. I remember the days of segregation and the good and bad attributes associated with such a system. I welcomed integration hoping it would resolve the injustices the black community had endured under segregation. It did not because integration was applied through forced legislative means by liberal politicians. Overnight, black and white communities were told how they should act and think regarding each other. No legislation can force you to accept another person if you don’t agree with their character and values. The only successful integration of the races has occurred between people of like character and values. Which brings us full circle except segregation is now defined in terms of liberal vs conservative values.

Conservatives of any race will always find in common values a sort of equilibrium between the races. Liberals will always disagree with conservative values in the name of diversification and by using legislative overreach hope to force their values upon those who do not agree.

All this to say, I don’t think I like Spike Lee or his character, value, and attitude. I don’t have to agree with him, or him with me. That’s the way it is. There is no racism or hatred intended. We just aren’t equal. Created equal but diversified by ideology.

Insightful.
