The president spent over $7.3 million on just three trips in 2013, including $2.1 million to appear on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in August, according to new flight documents provided by the Air Force to a public watchdog group.

Judicial Watch told Secrets that the sky-high jet travel costs for the first family's 2012-2013 Christmas vacation in Hawaii, their beach vacation on Martha's Vineyard last summer and President Obama's brief trip to California in August totalled $7,396,531.20.

The Air Force said it costs $228,288 an hour to fly Air Force One, a massive $48,535 jump from the last estimate of $179,750, or 27 percent...

It also does not include the costs for the support equipment, back-up decoy AF1, Cargo planes to haul the helicopters and autos and all the other junk that the SS positions to protect and defend the president nor does it include the costs of the pre travel inspection people and aircraft that go out to insure a smooth event. IOW this figure is probably closer to 1/4 the actual cost of one of these presidential excursions. As far as Washington is concerned believe little of what you see and none of what you hear.

that is pretty much how i fly... when i fly from the East coast to the West coast, or the West coast to the East coast, i do two shots of tequila right before i board... depending on the city, the shots vary in size... San Fran has the largest shots--a good 3.5 swallows for a double... Albuquerque has the chintziest, in my experience... then i order the Merlot during the flight... and if i have to switch planes, i do it all again :)

The abuses of taxpayer dollars and decadent extravagances are the problem, not her appearance. These abuses are very significant coming from an administration that has told us the rest of the world will not tolerate our SUV’s, air conditioning and general standard of living.

The idea that the “masses” must live in destitution to support the decadence of their “rulers” is the problem and is manifest in all tyrannies. That is the issue that needs to be addressed.
