Jane Long is a pretty famous name in Texas History. Are you any relation?
(I live in Fort Bend County where she died, had a plantation, etc).

I fly my Texas flag on March 2, March 6, and April 21.

It may get a bit icy tomorrow, but this is Texas, weather and all.

The Texians holed up in the Alamo died without knowing what had happened at Washington-on-the-Brazos while they were under siege.

I’ve always liked Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park.

I was there in 2000. It was on a weekday, and quite a few school children from several schools were visiting.

Yes I shop at the places you mentioned and I don't see Mexican families misbehaving. The t-shirt thing was maddening and inexcusable. We should all be able to wear Texas and US flags whenever and where ever we choose. The instate tuition for Mexicans is only applicable if they have graduated from a Texas highschool and have gotten or are in the process of getting their legal US citizenship.

Tell me again what Texas town you live in and see all this bad behavior?

I just tried to get my husband to drive out to Washington on the Brazos to see what is going on.

His comment was “again?” :)

Lucky you. But that’s not the question I asked.

Also, scholarships and college admissions preferences are for Hispanic surnames, in addition to which racist box is checked, no choice given for that.

You haven’t answered my question either. What Texas town do you live in where you saw the bad behavior at the movies?

I made it up. There is no such thing happening that texans are giving preferential treatment to those who disrespect American laws and culture.
The speak two languages push is a figment

And anyway there are a few cites in Texas that allow for these preferences so just shutting up with the rest of the texans is advisable

Many of the kids are looking for ways to get out however and wouldn’t dream of going to a&m with their segregated dorms

T shirt thing WAS inexcusable?

As if Texas won that fight?

No. There are no US flag tshirts allowed on 5 may. I contrast that with the many ethnic celebrations of my youth growing up in the NE. Old Glory is the first flag there, the appreciation for this country taking in immigrants, even the Irish who were very unwelcome,
