Im a physician and a small businessman. But most importantly I'm a parent.
Every single day, I see the importance of life. My children are the reason Im running for Congress in Alabamas sixth district. They dont deserve to inherit a nation worse off than the one in which I grew up because of the wasteful spending and the Obama administrations disregard for the values that made America great.
Im appalled at the assault on life perpetuated by the Left and their failed policies of the last five years.
President Obamas Lie of the Year, that Americans could keep their health care plans under Obamacare if they liked them, is just the beginning of the deception thats come with his takeover of our health care system.
He promised you could keep your plan, but millions have gotten cancellation notices. He promised premiums would go down; theyve actually gone up. He also said our tax dollars wouldnt pay for abortions, yet that just hasnt been the case.
The plain truth is that Obamacares fiscal insanity is just the beginning.
Federal tax dollars are readily available to subsidize abortions under Obamacare. A Heritage study noted last November that a number of conservative-led states have passed bills prohibiting such plans from being entered in their exchanges, but 27 states and DC have yet to do so.
As a pro-life physician, Im outraged by that.
One of the only constitutionally defined roles of government is protecting the lives of Americans, yet here we have a president and his big government allies forcing a law down our throats that does just the opposite.
We need conservatives in Washington wholl fight the liberals tooth and nail on this. In Congress, Ill do just that.
Not only will I fight to end taxpayer-funded abortions, Ill fight to repeal and replace Obamacare in its entirety.
Im proud to say that I support fellow physicians and Congressmen Phil Roe and Tom Prices plan to replace it with free-market health care reforms that save trillions, improve quality, and dont cover abortions.
Thats why Im endorsed by Congressman Roe, Congressman Andy Harris and 100 other physicians. Im proud to say that I have the support of the Alabama Orthopedic Society and the Alabama State Society of Anesthesiologists.
Proven conservative voices like Erick Erickson, Ken Blackwell, the Madison Project, and FreedomWorks know that I wont back down to toe the party line when it comes to fighting for life and conservative values.
Ive actually read all 2,462 pages of Obamacare and Ive seen its dreadful consequences on businesses and medical practitioners. Thats why Im ready to roll up the sleeves of my medical coat and be the rational, conservative voice in Washington that Alabama deserves.
If a few more Democrats did the same and read the bills they passed then maybe we wouldnt be dealing with this in the first place.
We can do better than this monstrosity and we cant wait any longer to send it to the scrap pile of history. Im Chad Mathis: physician, small businessman, and a conservative, and Im ready to stand for life in Congress.
Call the former congressman from Michigan who’s now a high paid lobbyist. He can call obama and say “But, you promised!”
Wonderful statement. I concur. But nowhere does he mention what state he’s in. That’s sort of important.
Belay that. My eyes (or my brain) must be going. Alabama is lucky.
Dr. Chad Mathis, an orthopedic surgeon, is a Republican candidate for Congress in Alabama's sixth district.
Chad is a successful small businessman who was the driving force behind the creation of Alabama Bone and Joint Clinic, of which he is the managing partner. He is also the founding board chairman of the Alabama Coalition for Charter Schools.
No other organization had as much influence as the National Right To Life (NTRL) in getting ObamaCare passed.
