I've never lived in a city or town; always rural in varying degrees. Twenty some years back, I decided to get away from the taxation, all the urban sprawl, the future loss of freedom back East, just everything that bothered me and I honestly didn't think would change. When I look what's going on today,back East; I think we made a good decision. We've haven't regretted the change.

The big change is living in the nicest, wildest Country I have ever seen; and having more freedom than people back East can even fathom exists anywhere on this earth. Finding my shan gri la here has been good. I don't understand how people accept their condition as it continues to degrade. I just don't have faith to believe things are going to get better back East, they are getting worse, look around. THat's why I like Alaska. The great hunting & fishing is just icing on the cake.
