Ruh Roo. I could have sworn that the demokkkrats were waging a war on climate change. Let's add some new tech nukes in to the mix too. As far as windmills, has there been a conclusive study done with regards to the disruption of the natural flow of the wind due to these monstrosities and what the consequences of the disruptions may be? Solar panels? Well we know they work pretty good for avian frickasee south of Vegas. Of course the greenees get a pass for slaughtering wildlife. ESA be damned if it stands in the way of green tech. New tesla battery plant in Tx, NM, Az or Nv? I'm sure the epa and any required EIS hurdles will be cleared without much problem. Disposing of hazardous waste by the plant. No problem. There's plenty of federally held land in those 4 states and a free pass will probably be give to elon musky absolving him and tesla of any wrong doing for any pollution issues.

I find it incredibly ironic that oil and gas from fracking (which the Dems fervently oppose) is the only thing that has kept the economy from being even worse than it is.

But an unexpected transformation of energy markets and politics may instead make 2014 the year of peak renewables. Wind has proved a bust, by en large. For Bio Obama turned to Brazil.
What is keeping us afloat and peaking is Natural Gas and Oil from fracking not renewables.
It would be nice if renewables would be more in the picture but their not producing over fracking and may never be to that level.

Renewable Energy in Decline That's because it is and always has been nonsense!
As soon as any of these erroneously categorized "renewable energy" sources become economically competitive they will flood this cutthroat energy market. Until then they are only niche market items which have no place in national energy supply concerns.

“In 2009, the ideology of Climatism, the belief that humans were causing dangerous global warming, came under serious attack.”
“Climatism” I like it. Turns the whole GW Hoax into a dogma and makes it sound as sinister as it is.

Solar panels? Well we know they work pretty good for avian frickasee south of Vegas. The avian fricassee was NOT caused by solar panels of the ordinary photo-voltaic kind, it was caused by solar mirrors.
Not that the rest of your point is not valid.
