For the moment, the ideological heirs of those that believe the flames of liberty must be extinguished and the aspirations of the individual curtailed for the alleged good of humanity have grown more sophisticated in their methods of getting the people to comply with their agenda. However, as Americans draw ever closer to the breaking point of just how much they are willing to put up with as frankly we are fast approaching the threshold where there is precious little left for the state to steal, we must ask with concern: will the aspiring despots among us resort to the violent tendencies of their philosophical progenitors in the attempt to bring about socialism’s ultimate triumph?

You are so correct. This is NOT the democratic party of your grand-dad or dad, and it’s certainly not the party of JFK. It is pure evil and communist. We call them “The Walking Democrats”. Totally useless, they feed of the productive and the living while destroying everything in their path. Probably the only thing they’re good for, is target practice....they are NOT American.
I have no scientific data to back this up. Purely from observational intuition I have concluded that people that cling to voting for democrats are genetically predisposed to be slaves. It just feels right to them down to their DNA. Much like most here feel the need to be free to their core. They can forgive the most hideous actions and most egregious statement as long as they are treated to something they perceive as free. It’s the only explanation I can conceive.
I’ve known some Cali dems that seemed reasonable on the surface, only to show their true socialist leanings as I got to know them better. One even referred to his own mother as a “rabid democrat” as if that wasn’t a bad thing.
Of course I’ve severed ties. One still owes me money but I’m fine with not collecting as long as there’s no attempt at contacting me in the future.

Nixon left something to be desired, but he was a saint when compared to Obama.
Nixon had flaws, but he was patriotic and pro American.
Barack Obama’s presidency is taking the Democratic Party down. The question is, when will they realize that it’s him or them?
Everyone would be happier if the counties had most of the tax, spend, and law making authority. The values of low population density voters are very different than high density which leads to all the political warfare. Let the city socialists destroy themselves with high taxes and regulation and let traditional Americans live free.
Obama’s single-handed rewriting of the Affordable Care Act should make them shutter.

Off hand, who would they be? Some obscure congressman from northwestern Minnesota? The last senator I knew who fit that description was Zell Miller and he retired sometime during the last decade.

It is tempting to say OK when an R gets into office then he can eliminate the capital gains tax and reduce the corporate tax to 15% like Canada's. How would they stop him?
