NATO also does not want the diplomatic guarantees given by Merkel and other member states to Ukraine, to be disrespected. NATO, finally, views with concern gradual involvement of Poland in this conflict. Remember that Poland (a NATO member), too, has polish minorities to protect within Ukraine.
