Russia's Medvedev Predicts 'New Revolution, New Bloodshed' [Obama Issues Strong Warning!]

Russia's Medvedev Predicts 'New Revolution, New Bloodshed' MOSCOW — Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Sunday that Ukraine's leaders had seized power illegally, and predicted their rule would end with "a new revolution [and] new bloodshed."

Medvedev said that, while Viktor Yanukovych had practically no authority, he remained the legitimate head of state according the constitution, adding: "If he is guilty before Ukraine - hold an impeachment procedure ... and try him."

"Everything else is lawlessness. The seizure of power," Medvedev said on his Facebook page. "And that means such order will be extremely unstable. It will end in a new revolution. New bloodshed."

The remarks were part of a series of Russian statements attacking the legitimacy of the pro-Western government that has been formed since Yanukovych fled Kiev more than a week ago. He surfaced on Friday in Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin obtained consent from the Kremlin-controlled parliament on Saturday to send the Russian military into Ukraine if he wishes, citing the need to protect Russian citizens and Russian-speakers in the neighboring state.

"Russia is ready to develop multi-faceted, respectful relations with brotherly Ukraine — mutually beneficial and effective relations," Medvedev said.

"But Ukraine for us is not a group of people who, pouring blood on the Maidan (Kiev's main square), seized power in violation of the constitution and other state laws."

He’s quite right. They did not impeach him according to their own Constitution. They seized power. It was a coup and this new dude is not the legitimate leader of the country.

They are just upset they backed a clown without enough ability to control power once he was installed.

The Parliament overwhelmingly voted him out of office and the measure was introduced by a member of his own party. Elections are scheduled for May. This is not a coup, but rather, a vote of no confidence.

Parliament cannot just vote him out of office. There is a procedure for removal of a President. It is almost identical to our procedure.

Bubba was impeached but declared not guilty by vote of the Senate and therefore remained President.

A majority of 328 lawmakers of the 450-seat parliament voted on February 22 to remove Yanukovych from power, citing as grounds his abandoning office and the deaths of more than 80 protesters and police in the past chaotic week of violence.

Yanukovych has taken several steps that appear to undermine his own faith in his presidential legitimacy -- among them, abandoning his office and recording an official statement of resignation.

According to the terms of an EU-brokered peace deal finalized on February 21, Yanukovych was due to sign a measure returning Ukraine to its 2004 constitution. (In 2010, Yanukovych restored the country's 1996 constitution, which hands greater power to the presidency.

The 1996 and the 2004 constitutions are uniform when it comes to the reasons for removing a president, with Article 111 stating the parliament has the right to initiate a procedure of impeachment "if he commits treason or other crime."

He was fraudulently elected.
The protestors were peaceful until fired upon.
Ukrainian parliament did impeach him.

Please stop posting things that aren’t true.

Soros has big bet on the market going down.

Someone bought a lot of VIX calls last week. Probably a hedge fund guy but who knows. Maybe Putin ;-)

China PMI is down from last month but above expectations.

Futures down 16 right now.
