Montana Democrats: We Demand to See the Birth Certificate!
National Review Online ^ | 02/27/2014 | Jim Geraghty.

"Remember when this sort of thing was ipso facto evidence that someone was a lunatic, a conspiracy theorist, a hate-monger, and unfit for public discourse?"

The Montana Democratic Party today called on Congressman Steve Daines, who claims in his latest TV ad to be a “fifth-generation Montanan,” to clear up confusion about his roots by releasing his birth certificate.

Daines’ latest ad asserts he “grew up in Bozeman, a fifth-generation Montanan,” which directly contradicts earlier versions of his biography when he claimed: “I’m a third-generation Montanan, kind of that classic Montana kid.”

"So the dispute is really whether Daines’s great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather were Montanans, huh? Really? Does Daines need to dig up their birth certificates, too? Do we need to dig deep into his Ancestry.com profile to get to the bottom of this?"

Fifth Generation would be plausible only if he were an Indian.

Not so. You could find sixth-generation white Montanans without turning over too many tumbleweeds.

The first homesteaders arrive in Billings, Montana, in the 1870s, and the first incorporated white settlement was Virginia City, in 1864.

If you wish you can even pay to visit (and work on!) a fifth-generation ranch, which wasn't established until 1906, near Billings.

If his ggg came into the Montana area and lived there and the place of death on his death certificate or church records was Montana and died there before 1889 would that suffice ???

when did Montana start having official death certificates...

the state of New York never had them until 1880..

His Democrat opponent “lost” $23,000,000 from his department of the state government. I haven’t seen anything saying they found that money.

He should photoshop it over O$hithead’s phoney cert, so that when the scumbag rats peel back the overlays, they see Odumbo’s fake BC.

It only counts for Dems, not for Republicans. But it sure demonstrates how desperate and petty they are.

Nope, Steve was born in California. His mother was born in Minnesota and his father was born in Utah. His paternal grandparents were both born in Utah. His maternal grandmother was born in Minnesota and his maternal grandfather was born in Montana, but raised in Minnesota.
