It was 6 outside when I went out with my metal-handled broom in my shirtsleeves and no gloves to sweep the snow off the deck because when it melts, it drips into the basement.
Just sweeping it away prevents that.
Anyway, when I was about half finished, I noticed that my hands hurt a lot, and when I went in to get my gloves, my fingers got red as beets. Idiot TOL nearly got frostbite without knowing it.
I gave them a shower in the sink with warm water, and they are fine, but that was a close one. Former California girl almost loses a couple of fingers. Sheesh!
Won’t happen again.
Bryan went to work today, says that he feels better, so thank you all for your prayers. More proof positive that prayer works. May God bless you all for your asking His help in Bryan’s recovery.
Severe cold is nothing to sneeze at, and I suspect that the metal handle of your broom didn’t help, either. Thank goodness you came inside when you did!
I’m glad to hear that Bryan’s feeling better. There have been some nasty bugs going around this winter.
