Marco Rubio aims for comeback with conservatives
Politico ^ | 03/03/2014 | Manu Raju

Posted on 03/03/2014 7:21:12 AM PST by GIdget2004

After dropping his push on immigration, Rubio is seeking to rehabilitate his image with much of the GOP base by falling back on his staunch conservative ideology while engaging in a calculated effort to broaden his domestic and foreign policy portfolio. He’s becoming a regular fundraising presence on the campaign trail and plans to play a big role in a handful of key midterm races this fall.

A contingent on the right will never forgive him for backing a bill offering a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, and his critics say he jettisoned the plan strictly to preserve his political standing. But in interviews with numerous GOP leaders and influential conservative activists in early primary states, his new push seems to have won over one-time skeptics who are now more open to a prospective Rubio candidacy.

Rubio, who plans to make a decision on whether to run for president either later this year or in early 2015, denies he dropped the immigration push for political purposes. But he acknowledges that his role in the immigration push took a toll on him politically.

“I’m sure there are people who are unhappy with what I did on immigration and will never be supportive of me again,” Rubio said in an interview in the Capitol last week. “But by and large, I think if you look at my approval ratings in different metrics that are out there, I feel like many of my supporters maybe disagreed with me on immigration — and disagreed strongly — but they understand that I’ve been involved in other issues that are important for the country.”

Just give a lot of good speeches like Cruz and you will be back in the good graces in no time. Don’t worry bout results. Just be a talker. It worked great for Obama and Cruz. Talkers are the winners in America these days.

And if we oust him after 1 term, he gets a big pension, life time Platinum healthcare for himself, wife and his unmarried kids until age 26.

Then you have to start asking these questions how many other pensions is is drawing while serving in the US Congress. Most have several state or federal pensions on top of their Congressional Salaries.

cronyn 3 state pensions
http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/2013/06/sen-john-cornyn-discloses-3-texas-pensions-as-supplemental-income.html/

3,6,7 yrs and each one comes with a pension, when you or I would have to work 20 for a lousy pension.

Weiner nuddie kiddie porn, 1 year of 1 term gets $35K per year for life, plus Platinum healthcare for him and his unmarried kids till age 26. He broke Federal laws and state laws and is a FREE man. You’d go to federal prison for such behavior.

WE NEED TERM LIMITS, 2 TERMS AND OUT, NO RETIREMENT, NO HEALTHCARE, AND WHAT HEALTHCARE YOU GET WHILE YOU ARE IN OFFICE IS 0’CARE. REDUCE SENATE TO 4 YRS NOT 6 YRS! AND WE DON’T PAY FOR PRESIDENTIAL PRIVATE PARTIES, VACATIONS, OR THEIR CLOTHES. MOOCH’S LAST DRESS COST US TAX SERFS $12K.

A person who serves starting as enlisted in the Military retires a SCPO gets about $17K per year if they did their service from the 60’s - 80’s. With RATIONED HEALTHCARE!

term limits must also apply to unelected bureacrats.

It does no good to kick out elected politicials if the unelected bureacrats can continue to ignore the law.

The problem with his new 'I saw the light' after amnesty failed is that he would be pushing it again, if he did get elected president.

In fact, he will probably be pushing it again after the 2016 presidential race is determined.

Marco Rubio clearly indicated he was for amnesty BEFORE he was elected. It bothers me that he deceptively hid that fact during his campaign, but the part that galls me the most is that amnesty became his #1 priority on taking office. With all the things going wrong in this country, AMNESTY was Marco Rubio’s #1 priority, and he was willing to cooperate with Democrats to achieve it.

I hope Marco and all the other amnesty supporters are shown the political door...

“Undocumented immigrants” my ass, Manu Raju, whoever the hell you are.

As for Rubio, he can go kiss my yankee doodle dandy. I’ll never vote for him.

Rubio is in the pocket of Florida’s large citrus, vegetable, and sugar industry.

What can NEVER be forgiven----is that Rubio wasn't smart enough to realize that the amnesty bill was going nowhere....b/c some of the provisions bordered on treason.

Americans loathed the annual $100 million giveaway to blood-thirsty, America-hating La Raza---financed to takeback the SW w/ our tax dollars.

Absolving latino officeholders of prosecution for crimes in office?

Is he kidding?
