LONDON — Russia’s state-controlled network Channel One has cancelled its live coverage of the Oscars in order to cover the crisis in Ukraine.

Well you are a Putin lover so it does not surprise me. I hate Putin and always have. You guys that put him on a pedestal should be ashamed of yourselves. He is awful but you guys love him. Makes no sense.

That no joke I was really watching it LOL!
Then my local PBS station show season finale of Downton Abbey again so I watch little a bit that too LOL!
Mostly it was Uncle Si and his family
Why they would cancel the coverage is a mystery. Nobody in Hollywood would speak out against the new USSR. Putin has nothing to fear from the provincial morons in that part of the solar system, and every reason to expect support, a la Sean Penn and the rest of the cretins of his ilk.
4 loooooooooooooong hours
It was long. They were sneaky this year. Normally, I watch the first hour to see the 2 supporting acting winners and then the last 20 minutes to catch the main acting awards, director and movie. They split up the supporting to keep the eyeballs. No wonder they increased viewers this year.
Increased viewers fell asleep it’s the only way the ratings went up.
Lucky Russians....they didn’t miss much.
Its been a few decades since I watched the Oscars.
It been several years since Ive been to a movie theater come to think of it.
