In the past - the times of the Second Polish Republic, partitions of Poland and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth - the number of Russians within Polish borders was much higher, over 100,000. In Pre-War Poland, ethnic Poles were 70% of the population....most others were Jews and Ukrainians and some Volksdeutsche. Today it's about 95% ethnically Polish.
