If you look at the latest 80 Billion in food stamps. 70 Billion is allocated to overhead and only Billion in actual cash aid.

To be simple, it costs us 70 Billion to give out 10 Billion.

The 70 billion is overhead, retirement, salary benefits to government employees and again, only 10 Billion in actual aid.

This burden, paying 20 retirement salaries to every one actually working government hack is an unfair burden on the American people.

So it’s not so much an anti-poverty program as a government bureaucrat employment program/slush fund.

That’s true for all gov’t programs. The public employee unions are the biggest advocates for social programs, not because they care about the people, but because they need more dues paying members with high wages and benefits.

I wrote a letter to a Dr. in CA one time after I read a story about how he lost money taking care of Medicaid patients. I worked with a public employee union at the time. I told the Dr. that the uneducated public employees that shuffle papers and determine eligibility for people fight for keeping higher wages and secure retirements for themselves and do not believe that the professionals that actually provide the service deserve anything.

Any socialist policy or program has as it's primary beneficiary as the socialist politicians and as secondary, the bureaucracies that support them. The food stamp recipient is tertiary.

It’s not that I don’t believe you, because I am certainly inclined to believe you, but do you have any cite for the 7 out of 8 dollars of food stamps goes to administration?
