Obama Budget Proposal Pushes for $750 Million for Universal Preschool
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | March 4, 2014 | Tony Lee

On Tuesday, President Barack Obama pushed for at least $750 million in targeted funds in his $3.9 trillion 2015 budget to lay the foundation for universal preschool programs. Obama spoke at a D.C. elementary school that participates in a pre-kindergarten program.

"Research shows that one of the best investments we can make in a child’s life is high-quality early education," Obama wrote in his introductory budget message about his desire to expand preschool to all four-year olds. "I am again calling on the Congress to make high-quality preschool available to every four-year-old child."

Questions have been raised, though, about how those taxpayer funds would be spent and what type of nationalized curriculum would be implemented for universal Pre-K programs, which many children may not even attend.

Obama said he hoped that his budget, by targeting $750 million for Pre-K programs, would lay a "stronger foundation for Preschool for All," an initiative he launched in last year's State of the Union address. Liberal Democrats – like New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro – have also been enthusiasts for Pre-K programs....

Head Start is a failure, and IIRC, makes kids more stupid than if they had never gone to it.

If they could the Leftist, Socialist, Commie bastards would take the kids straight from the womb for their Leftist indoctrination. They can’t yet, so they have to get them in pre school.

Proverbs 22:6: Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. These commies know what they are doing. What do you think they will teach them in these government propaganda camps?

This is government day care masquerading as preschool. There is no benefit from these early learning programs. It only benefits union state preschool workers who fill the union campaign war chests from their dues at taxpayer expense.

The Federal Fecal Finger turns everything that it touches into smelly, sticky puddles of “Obama.”

The ultimate example is the Federal Program called “Obama Socialized Health Insurance Tax, or OSHIT.”

All new Federal Programs are to be rejected out of hand, especially anything to do with OUR precious children and grandchildren.

So say we, one and ALL!

Estimates are that universal preschool would cost $10 billion so the real cost is probably 10 x that.

The socialists can’t wait to get control of your children.

Homeschooling yet? (Actually every new parent is homeschooling, that is until the moment they give their child to the professionals at the local government school system.)

Frankly, there really isn't much that the government can point at in terms of successful social programs, past or present. The government simply is NOT an efficient way to provide services in areas that should be a free market.

The problems with government running things:

Political nature: All decisions are political. It's a political organization, and everything they touch becomes a political issue. Lobbyists, those that contributed to campaigns, the media, personal ideology... Decisions are often no pragmatic, or based on a contractual obligation, or what is the best for the share holders/investors, since politicians are disconnected for their actions and consequences even more so than a CEO.

No customer focus: The post office, Medicare, Medicaid, they are all examples of this. When government runs anything, they are immune to what a consumer wants. In fact, as with the military health care system and the VA, there is even limited legal recourse even if they foul up. Unless you publicly shame them into action, they are generally inconsiderate of what you the customer and ultimate payee wants/needs.

No consideration of supply and demand: The government as a rule does not look at things as the free market will. They are not seeking a “sweet spot” that maximizes the net profits and/or market efficiency. They are often driven by ideology, or some other agenda, and they are willing to push the curve far past or starve supply because of this agenda (whatever it may be). Look at CAFE standards for automobiles, subsidies for corn production as examples.

Improper risk consideration: A government agency or bureaucrat does not look at risk as part of the game. In the real world, anything that makes you money has some sort of risk. In the government world, risk is bad and minimized to zero. Hence, you get Space Shuttles that cost 100 Times what Space X's Dragon costs. In a government, peoples time is disconnected to the service or the value added by it. Risk is minimized at all costs, to the point where the measures to reduce risk are far past any economically viable point and have entered the area of diminished returns.

No concept of return on investment: A government does not think this way and the stimulus is a perfect example. While there surely is some return on studying the Mormon cricket, or teaching sub-Saharan men on the proper use of a condom, these returns are very limited, and this so called “investment” by the government in our economy only brought modest returns. A business looks at opportunity costs and if they have the option between two alternatives, one bringing 3% ROI and one 18%, they will choose 18%, while government will do whatever those whispering in the politicians ear want.

While many today look at the government as the solution to every economic and social ill, in reality the government is even worse than the most corrupt and incompetent within the private sector. Imagine an investment company that only delivered 1.50% interest per year on long term investments. Now realize, that's roughly what your awesome social security brings you, and they accomplish that as a government mandated ponzi scheme. http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/ProgData/annualinterestrates.html

When did people decide to institutionalize little children? They use to understand how evil orphanages were. Ben Franklin was a genius and inventor and he spent only two years in “schools”. Mark Twain hardly any more time. Lincoln, two months, if that.

Education comes from inside...and is unique to all people. One size does NOT fit all (Common Core). Institutions are not for human beings, ever. They dehumanize with the artificial environment that removes them from their mother and father who should be the true “educators” along with like-minded relatives/friends.

And in Mrs; Bill’s presidency we get actual creches where parents will be permitted to view their children through a glass window once a month.

Research shows that Obama is a psychopath, a liar, a murderer, a Muslim, and a Communist.
