The bottomline here is that good candidates win and bad candidates lose and ideaology often plays 2nd fiddle.

That is how Mary Landrieu wins in Louisiana and Susan Collins wins in Maine.

How did LePage win? Was the system rigged against him?

Mary has only faced ex-Democrats gaining 52% of the vote. She goes to a runoff.

It is good we have Vitter and not some open borders RINO who can buy a primary.
