Shocker: IRS estimates cheapest Obamacare plan $20k per family in 2016

In an official document, the Internal Revenue Service, the enforcer of Obamacare’s mandates, is estimating that the cheapest Obamacare plan (the Bronze level of coverage) will cost a family of four $20,000 per year. Matt Cover of CNS News writes:

The IRS's assumption that the cheapest plan for a family will cost $20,000 per year is found in examples the IRS gives to help people understand how to calculate the penalty they will need to pay the government if they do not buy a mandated health plan.

The examples point to families of four and families of five, both of which the IRS expects in its assumptions to pay a minimum of $20,000 per year for a bronze plan.

“The annual national average bronze plan premium for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) is $20,000,” the regulation says.

Bronze will be the lowest tier health-insurance plan available under Obamacare--after Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Under the law, the penalty for not buying health insurance is supposed to be capped at either the annual average Bronze premium, 2.5 percent of taxable income, or $2,085.00 per family in 2016.

the elephant in the living room is the fact that by mandating health care coverage, you don’t get economies of scale, but rather a captive audience, such as happened when auto insurance became mandatory.

and the fact that with health care costing so much, this is a mortgage payment without the house. so we force families to pay an amount equal or above a mortgage payment, then we worry that nobody is buying houses.

why isn’t anybody pointing out this fact?

I wonder if they are including the insanely high deductible that’s part of these “plans”. The deductibles are so high, you’re just as well to not even have insurance, except for the worst kind of scenarios.

And the geniuses at CNBC never mention that this disastrous ObamaCare inflation will suck the life out of Middle Class purchasing power. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, ObamaBots.

Oh don't worry, that number was created to justify the subsidy. The individuals won't really pay that amount. It will be funded by those tax payers.

When does it end?

It ends when “Benghazi Coverup” Boehner Impeaches B. Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, a legal citizen of the sovereign Nation of Indonesia.

Until then the Boy-Toy Dictator Soetoro-Obama will be free to do whatever he wants to do.

And it will be totally unexpected® that businesses that depend on consumers having $$ for discretionary spending start announcing layoffs, store and restaurant closures, and bankruptcies.
