Even worse than obama believing others see the world as he does is the fact that he believes the world actually is the way he sees it. He is completely unaware of his own biases and limitations. Biases and limitations which are significantly more than typical.

The critical lesson here is for Republican candidates for POTUS. At the very start of the primary season they have to be asked the question that will reveal if they have too big an ego for the office.

“Are you willing to work with congress to reduce the power of the office of the president to constitutionality?”

Unless they answer this question quickly and correctly, with a minimum of b.s., they probably think that *they* are strong enough to “control” the unconstitutional power, and use it “wisely”.

Which is the wrong answer.

This excessive power is too much for anyone to handle, and it is tearing our country apart. The office of the President of the United States must be deflated, or it will destroy our form of government, our prosperity, and our people.

The “imperial presidency” must end.

Solipsism is one of the primary distinguishing characteristics of American liberals.

They quite literally (and not in the Biden use of the word) cannot imagine other people not having as their highest possible aspiration becoming just like themselves.

Recently watched on Netflix a movie about a teenage Chinese girl with a severe cleft lip deformity.

She is operated on, and of course become stunningly beautiful. Then she and her father move to CA. She then lives the upper-class CA high school experience, complete with the limo at prom.

The makers of this movie apparently could not imagine a happy ending other than becoming just like them.

When the two come into conflict, there are two choices.
Either change your concepts about reality or bend reality to your will.

Most healthy people change their idea about the universe.

Unhealthy people attempt to change the reality to match their concept or live in a fantasy world.

It takes an extremely strong will to bend the reality and force others into your world but Putin will have none of that.

At times of conflict, there is an opportunity to grow but I see no growth here or acceptance of reality.

So we have to deal with the new reality that we have a president who would rather believe a palatable lie than accept the truth that he has failed. - just like those who elected him.

It's a quality often found in narcissists, people who greatly admire themselves -- such as a presidential candidate confident that he is a better speechwriter than his speechwriters, knows more about policy than his policy directors and is a better political director than his political director.

There was another narcissist who thought he was a better general than his generals at a cost tens of millions of lives until his own narcissism drove him to suicide in his own bunker-the ultimate if perverted attempt at control.
