Bill Clinton accepted a $225,000 speaking fee from the nonprofit Washington Hospital Center smack in the middle of two big rounds of layoffs in 2012 — one of a number of tax-exempt organizations that have paid big money to hear the former president talk.

The $225,000 payment wasn’t made public by the hospital on its annual Internal Revenue Service forms, but rather appeared among dozens of lucrative speeches by Mr. Clinton reported on his wife’s final ethics filing as secretary of state.

“No disrespect to Bill Clinton, but that money could’ve gone a long way and been put to better use,” said Dan Fields Jr., president of the Service Employees International Union Local 722 representing hospital workers.

Mr. Clinton had earned $700,000 by selling stock he was given for a speech in 2004 for a private Internet startup called Accoona Corp., which turned out to be co-founded by a convicted felon and backed by the Chinese government

Here is the deal....a foundation gets money from various places. The combined federal campaign donates to this hospital, that is the intake of the laundry. Then it is used to pay a speaking fee to Clinton which is the delivery of the laundered funds. All nice and legal. My only question would be did the money go to him personally or to his library and massage palor or to his foundation which then launders it farther??

IRS too busy chasing the tea party to be worried about stuff like this I suspect.

"Public Service" is a gateway to riches. Just ask Dick Gephardt, Bob Dole, Charlie Rangel, Harry Reid, etc.

Can't leave out algore or Billy Jeff, the two biggest hustlers of our age.

if you recall, when they were in the WH slick and the hildahag used to donate their used under ware so they could claim it on their taxes. Aside from that being sick, they are obviously money hungry cheap skates thus could really care if the hospital goes broke as long as they get theirs.
