McMorris Rodgers: ‘He may have his pen and his phone, but we have the Constitution’

House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Wash.) and Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) laid out their plans to counter President Barack Obama’s executive overreach, in a conference call Thursday.

The House will continue its efforts to push back against the “imperial presidency” next week, by voting on additional legislation that would allow Congress to challenge executive moves in federal court.

“Clearly President Obama has taken the über presidency to a whole new level,” McMorris Rodgers said. “While it’s not new for presidents to stretch their constitutional limits of power, executive overreach has accelerated at a faster pace under President Obama.”

“Throughout his tenure we have witnessed a pattern,” she said. “When the president disagrees with laws, he ignores them. And now that Obamacare isn’t working, President Obama is rewriting his own law on a whim.”

Oh goodie another "show vote" like the 30+ on repealing Obamacare.

BUT NO GUTS TO BRING UP IMPEACHMENT? GO ON RECORD, EVEN THOUGH THE OBAMA SENATE WILL NOT REMOVE. A LINE IN THE SAND MUST BE DRAWN, OR THE REPUBLIC WILL NOT SURVIVE UNDER LAWLESSNESS. No guts to defund Obamacare either - where they hold a Royal Flush. Too afraid of the Obama media.

Why doesn’t the House simply exercise its power of the purse? They have done precious little to constain Obama’s reckless and destructive spending. Its no wonder he thinks he can do whatever he wants.

Obama is at 55% unapproval but the republicans are afraid they won’t win the 2014 elections. So they let him keep spending. Could that be the reason for his low numbers? Are they giving him enough rope to hang himself? Notice I didn’t say “lynch himself”.

Rather the Republicans KNOW that there will be political bloodbath for the Democrats come this November in the midterms. Look for the Senate to get conservative GOPers.

Millions of Americans still do not get it. The current Democratic Party are communists. Communism has ruined every Country on Earth. America is no exception and we must get the Senate in 2014 and the Presidency in 2016 or America is finished.

Republicans are hoping for Dems to lose instead of working to win. I think the winning formula for Republicans is simple: Stand For Something.

As correct as that sentiment is, nevertheless, that is exactly what has happened.

In other news, next week the Defense Dept. is launching intercept missiles at a Chinese ICBM launched at the US today.

These stupid PR votes are like car dealership adds promising the lowest prices. They are meaningless and have lost the luster or PR influence.
