If Condoleezza Rice were a white person he wouldn’t have defended her. Imagine Sarah Palin in her place. Would Juan defend her?
Juan always wears his NAALCP blinders. Strange, I agree with you, since he was let go by NPR for making racist allegations.
The misogynist racists in the Rutgers faculty have managed to bar an accomplished black woman from giving a commencement speech. Bet they’re proud of themselves!
Indeed he is. He’s been taught about the liberals a few times, the hard way, yet sticks with them. Either “battered wife syndrome” or dumber than a box of rocks. I honestly can’t say.
That is simply not true. While Juan Williams may have a lot of kneejerk reactionary opinions typical of Beltway liberals, he is unfailingly gentlemanly even when the debate gets heated, and a good sport when conservatives tease him for being a liberal on O'Reilly or The Five. He seems a genuinely good-natured person. And give him time. Since his firing from public television for saying something politically incorrect, his reconstruction as a conservative is underway. Part of what's holding him back is this issue under discussion, the vilification blacks can expect from other blacks if they dare to think independently. It would affect his family and friends. He is working his way to his Road to Damascus moment. I had mine in pre-law class when reading some of the ridiculous rationalizations in Supreme Court affirmative decisions.
Wake up, Juan. “Hateful Double Standard” is one of the standards democrats have been living by for decades.
Juan is at least consistently selective with his outrage.
C’mon Juan, Donald Rumsfeld would have gotten the same treatment.
