Second Amendment: The administration's choice to be the nation's doctor in chief views gun ownership as a public health issue and not a constitutional right, and wants doctors to query patients about guns in their home.... ....gun-grabbing advocate Dr. Vivek Hallegere Murthy, Obama's nominee to be U.S. Surgeon General.

Murthy is the 36-year-old president and co-founder of the anti-gun group Doctors for America, which advocates ObamaCare and gun control laws.

...a folding or telescoping stock, a flash suppressor or threaded barrel, a bayonet mount, or a muzzle-mounted grenade launcher...

Well, those are the features of almost none of the firearms used in crimes.

But if those features are made illegal, then the mere possession of that firearm will be a crime, which means that feature was used in committing a crime, which means "assault weapon" crime will increase (possession), which will show up as a spike in the statistics, justifying another crackdown...

I was going to be sarcastic, but we'll see after whatever comes to pass in CT. God Bless all who refused to register.

Don't forget the other half of the equation: jury nullification. We have to educate conservatives on the importance of that power. If any decent person is called for jury duty in a gun rights case, it's important to get on that jury by being truthful but not helpful (think Bill Clinton under oath) and then to vote 'Not Guilty' regardless of the letter of the law. An unjust law is no law, and it's the jury's job to ignore such laws no matter what the judge or an unconstitutional written law may say.
