OK. OK. Chris Christie is a RINO. The drive-by media is trying to promote Christie.
This is probably mostly conservative people voting by their interest in what is being said.
I have to admit that I liked Rick Perry best but Ted Curz was great too.

A rousing good speech.
Too bad it wasn't this Rick Perry who was running for the republican nomination in the 2012 presidential primaries.
“Too bad it wasn’t this Rick Perry who was running for the republican nomination in the 2012 presidential primaries.”
The media ( even Fox ) failed to inform that during the primary Rick Perry had just undergone major back surgery and was proscribed medications that would have knocked a full grown steer to it’s knees.
There was some passing mention of it at the start, but not a peep by most after the ‘oops’ in the debate.

What was the best ideas for what the GOP should do if elected?
Bad timing.
But as you say, the cause of his poor performance was mentioned briefly.
Nevertheless, by the time the debate was over his candidacy was history.
A Golden oldie!
If you listen carefully to what Perry is saying (and trying to say), you can tell he can barely read his own speech. He gets words wrong, gets emphasis wrong--and sometimes the intended meaning is even off as a result. He may or may not be a great person, or a great person to be the governor of Texas. He might or might not make a good US president. But he is not a great candidate on the stump--or in a debate.
If he was on pain meds after surgery during the last campaign, OK--but what is the excuse now?
