High suicide-attempt rate? How hard is it to commit suicide? If I were a transgendered whatever, suicide would seem an acceptable alternative. Is this a cry for help from the drama queens? There is a how to book for pretty much everything, looks like there may be a niche that needs filling.

This common-sense solution is just MEAN. We have to pander so we can feel good about ourselves.

Couldn't agree more. A ‘transgender’ person has a personality disorder. And telling them they are just a ‘variation on normal’ (the definition attached to homosexuality since the 70’s) won't solve the problem. They need HELP. They should try to confront the FACT that every cell in their bodies shows DNA of the gender into which they were born. The psychiatrists who are slaves to political correctness should stop pretending that there is anything normal about ‘gender issues’ and try to help these people.
