I can see Carson in HHS

This department should be the prime target for shutdown.

Ann is always a headliner at CPAC so the management could not exclude her. They devised this format to prevent her from talking about immigration. Cardenas and company support amnesty, which is why they loaded up the only panel on immigration with amnesty supporters. Even Congressman Lamar Smith spoke out about it.

CPAC Immigration Debate Stacked 3-to-1 with Pro-Amnesty Panelists

"Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX), a former chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, has apparently had enough of what he sees as the pro-amnesty mentality at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

In response to a panel which includes four proponents of comprehensive immigration reform and one critic, Smith ripped the American Conservative Union, which hosts CPAC, in a press release.

“You have to wonder when a self-described conservative organization stacks an immigration panel with amnesty advocates,” Smith accused. “For the second year in a row, CPAC has featured a panel where all but one speaker supports the agenda of liberal Democrats and the liberal national media. ‘Truth-in-advertising’ would require CPAC to drop the word ‘conservative.’”

Ann outfoxed CPAC by taking over the so-called debate and focusing it on immigration ignoring the moderator's attempt to prevent it.

I think Carson would be more than happy to shut it down given its past history.

LOL!

It’s mild here (about 53 right now and not quite 9 a.m.), but we had record amounts of rain and several rivers are at flooding stage. While we have quite a few golf courses (private and public) in the Seattle Metro area, I suspect all of them are a bit soggy.

Trouble is that pigeon holes him in that dept. The guy is so brilliant he’s good enough to be VP but he needs political experience first.

Thanks for the info. Ann tends to get some of us a bit irritated from time to time (such as her support for Christie), but she pulls through most of the time when we need her to do so. I think she’s sly like a fox sometimes and her performance at CPAC yesterday was an example. She was personable but serious and didn’t get very sarcastic as she often does on FNC and in some speaches.

Good catch. That was an important idea brought out yesterday that too many illegals water down pay for everyone leading even liberals who actually want a living wage above politics to oppose immigration. Tough sell on their side.

I agree with repealing 0zero care entirely. However, we will need an exit strategy for those who signed up for it. Also, probably, some form of block grants to states to help them with the increased rolls in Medicaid.

Frankly, 0bamacare will be one of those gifts that keeps on giving until we can get it straightened out with market based healthcare solutions and responses for the attacks we know will be coming from the left.

Let me guess... Something like this?

                        Lindsey                       Mac

Not that there's anything wrong with that, but McCain already has a beer heiresswife!

Yeah that’s true, one of the problems with these golf course workers is that they drive to work at 5 mph. By the time they get there its time to go home.

“Trouble is that pigeon holes him in that dept. The guy is so brilliant he’s good enough to be VP but he needs political experience first.”

I was on the sofa watching most of CPAC yesterday (been ill for a couple of days - flu), which made my mind a bit fuzzier than ususal
;-) I don’t recall who it was (I’m thinking Sarah, but could have been Ben) said something to the effect of we need people out of government to step up and run as that’s what the Founders envisioned. And, something to the effect of why do we always need people that have been in politics to run for office.

The way the LSM goes after Pubbies, Sarah is a prime example, I totally understand why conservatives may not want to run for office.

Legal immigration also drives down wages. If we had a real shortage of labor, wages would be going up, not down.

Pat Stryker, Jared Polis, Tim Gill, and Rutt Bridges are known in Colorado political circles as “The Four Horsemen” (aka “Gang of Four” or “The Four Millionaires”). Significant political contributions from the four to favored Democratic candidates has played a role in electing a Democratic majority in Colorado’s house and senate.

We sure wish some other state would take these guys. They’ve really hurt Colorado.

Good morning Sister Pat!

I made Mac and Cheese last night - - I’ve not felt well and only thing that sounded good. I didn’t want to go to the store, so opted fixing 1 box of Kraft Mac & Cheese I had in the cupboard. Keep it on hand for a just-in-case time. Didn’t eat much of it and I’m sure yours was 10x better!!!
