Perhaps the most famous and popular of all members of WW II Easy Company, aka The Band Of Brothers, Wild Bill Guarnere, died on Saturday after suffering a stroke , in his home town of Philadelphia Pa.

RIP. I’m glad he became a celebrity of sorts after BoB, even though the series does what they always do with people from Philadelphia: give them New York accents. Robert DeNiro in Silver Linings Playbook was another example.
Sorry to hear of his passing.
As to the celebrity status that the book and series gave “Easy” Company, it’s too bad that couldn’t have been extended to a lot of other WWII vets.
