"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton |
|
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan |
|
"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792 |
|
"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams |
|
"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams |

Would wearing a HUGE sombrero of pink, green and purple, with dozens of blue and yellow roses, carrying a gaylib flag and playing maracas help?
I'd be glad to contribute the maracas.
Tik-a-tik-a-tik!

And all this time I thought it was the McCain / Romney pastels that got the voters excited and running to the polls...

Republicans Conservatives will win when they develop a PR machine as fine tuned and well oiled as the dems (socialists) have managed to build.

If Cruz wants to make some “bold” moves that will get this voter excited....he will promise to get the federal government and federal courts out of telling states they must recognized sodomite marriage. He will promise to work to get open homosexuality out of the military...and get rid of those senior officers that acted as enablers to the POTUS to institute open homosexuals serving in the military.
Those are BOLD moves I want to see. The other stuff will follow if Cruz (et. Al.) will get the social/moral stuff right first.

Not of fixing the IRS, but of abolishing it. Hyperbole, but at least he's got the gonads to say it out loud. It's a start.

He’s absolutely right, but it’s got to be bold POSITIVE colors. Nobody is going to be attracted by internicene GOP wars, and unfortunately, that’s the main thing Cruz has projected. I realize that the press has had a lot to do with this image, so he’s got to reach out and go beyond with a positive message.

They haven’t done that since media propagandists turned blue to red in 1996.
Republican is BLUE, dammit.
The Dems were always the Reds.

Ted’s my guy, but I have a sinking feeling he might have provided Hannity with another catchphrase to repeat over and over, LOL.

Cruz is right. Too many in the party leadership seem to be content to be the bland alternative to the out of control Democrats which is like offering nothing at all. Individual liberty and constitutional government shouldn’t be a hard sell. An opportunity economy as opposed to a bureaucratic strangled one shouldn’t be difficult at all to run on.

Do you consider this negative:
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

BTW, there is no solving the problem if you do not identify the problem. The GOP-E and those who compromise with our enemies are the problem. Reagan identified the problem both with the enemies outside and within the camp all the while projecting a positive message.
Ted is doing the exact same thing.
Those like Rand Paul who refuse to fight the enemy within the camp will never lead, they will fail, exactly because they refuse to diagnose the disease within our own group.
That problem has to be solved first, or at least simultaneously before we win any battles/wars from a conservative perspective.
Until the the problems of Crony Capitalism and the approach of working for the best interests of Big Corporate Donors instead of the Citizen's best interests is seriously defeated in the GOP, we are not going to win national elections. And solving these problems means identifying them, and the people engaged in them, first.

Both Political Parties of our current Communal Federal Government understand that the purpose of naming a Master/Slave Federal Government Program an Entitlement is to deceive the enslaved population into believing that becoming slaves to a Master is something to be desired.
The Master/Slave Entitlement of Obamacare is the most Communal of all the Federal Government Master/Slave Entitlement Programs because it can legally collect monies and/or property after death of the Entitled Slave, or from their surviving family members.
