Of course she didn’t. If he used only what she actually said, HE would have NOTHING to say or to criticize. So, like all liberals, he is left with nothing so he must set up an alternate reality to attack.

I’m not so sure they do know it. They lie, and they lie on purpose with malice, knowing many low info folks will believe their lies.

Yesterday, my son and I were discussing the countries we had visited. Near the end of that brief conversation, I said “well, neither of us has been to Africa.”
With fake condescension, he said that I was “just as confused as Palin.”
I remembered something about a politician supposedly making a remark that Africa was a country, but I knew Palin was not so dumb, and I told my lad that he was just a libtard for believing it (BTW, my son knew full well that I was referring to Africa as a continent).
He insisted Palin said it. I told him again that he was foolish to believe that, and I looked up the source of the comment.
Well, you guessed it; Palin said it, but she didn’t. It was a hoax (read lie) just made up by one of McCain’s staff members. So, my kid, who is very bright and is usually a high info voter, thought Palin said it.
I think it’s high time conservative politicians responded immediately and with righteous indignation when these lies from liars are first published.
BJ Clinton did that very well. President George W. Bush, in contrast, did not “dignify” such remarks with a rebuttal. Mr. Bush paid a high price for turning the other cheek.
